Edmund Alan N. Piquero Jr. (Jong) is co-conductor of Koro Ilustrado since June 2009.  He has taught various church, community, school, government and private company choirs in his choral experience spanning 20 years. Jong is an alumnus of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz) under the direction of Philippine National Artist for Music, Andrea O. Veneracion.  He sang with the winning batch in the 1996 International Choral Competition in Tolosa, Spain that eventually bagged the 1997 European Grand Prix in Tours, France.  Having been with the MADZ for 9 years, he has extensively joined tours in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, attending various choral festivals and workshops.

Jong has a Master's degree in Tropical Hydrogeology from the University of Tuebingen in Germany and is currently an environmental hydrogeologist for a leading multi-national company.
